Cyber Bands

Here’s How it Works –

Let’s say you’re an experienced guitarist who sings and plays Rock and you want other musicians to join your band. You would post a message on the LiveNetGigs Message Board for Musicians Wanted - Drummer, etc. Based upon your needs and the abilities of the Musicians, you can choose the ones that suit your style.

Each new musician records separately, so the Band Leader can decide which musical instrument players he wants to use. The Band Leader and Band Members can use our Live Video Connector to See and Talk together Live for strategy and communication. They do not play live together. After selecting the members of the band, the leader will then send a file with the music he has recorded or a song he wants them to play or a background recording, so the members can listen, get in sync, etc. The recorded Band Leader's music is played as background music and is only heard through the headphones of the member while he/she is playing and recording their part. The band member has to "accompany play" to mesh with the Band Leader's music. The background music is not recorded with their part, it's only used to help with the beat, sync, etc.

After the Band Member feels they have the music right, they record their play of the music in the Live Net Gigs Recording Studio and send the file to the Band Leader. The band leader can then listen to the music submitted to him by each Band Member individually, or as a group to see how it sounds. The Band Leader can also listen to i.e., just the drummer and keyboardist or the drummer and vocalist. It’s his choice. At this point, he can get back to the drummer and tell him to speed it up or slow it down and have the drummer re-record his portion of the song. Once the Band Leader is satisfied with all of the Band Members parts, the Band Leader can then merge the member recordings with his/her own recording for a Cyber Band Performance on Live Net Gigs. It's important that band members play and record to the music as supplied by the Band Leader and not improvise. They must play like they are accompanying the music.

Note: Because the Band Leader is merging all the parts on his computer there is no problem with different bandwidth from each Band Member because they are all being played at the same speed on the Band Leader’s computer using the same bandwidth.
